Join this five-day course in Birmingham with the opportunity to apply for a 12 week paid traineeship to become a Health Care Assistant at Mosely Hall Hospital!

By attending the course you will:

  • Receive vital employability skills improving your confidence and professionalism

  • Learn interview techniques

  • Receive 1-1 CV support ensuring your skills are spotlighted

  • Have the chance to apply for a 12 week paid traineeship with Mosely Hall Hospital

  • You must be 18 to 30-years-old

  • You must have the the right to work in the UK

  • You must live in Birmingham or surrounding areas

  • You must not currently be in education, employment or training. This course requires full-time commitment.

Unfortunately this position does not support Visa sponsorship.

To be a Health Care Assistant, you must also demonstrate these traits and be accustomed to the following:

  • Feel comfortable giving personal care to both male and females

  • Be happy to clear up all forms of bodily fluids including sick, urine and faeces

  • Be available to work 12 hour shifts both day and night

  • Be happy to wash, shower and take patients to the toilet

  • Have excellent time keeping

  • Be able to get to their allocated hospital for as early as 6.30am

  • One-to-one support after your interview, including during your first few months of work

Healthcare Assistants (HCAs)

There are countless opportunities to help improve people's health in a role like this. There are 30 different Healthcare Support Worker roles you can choose from in seven areas of the NHS, including mental health, primary care, maternity, and children’s services. For example, you could be dietic assistant helping patients with nutrition or prosthetic technician helping patients become more mobile. All these roles help improve the lives of others. This entry-level role is an integral part of becoming a nurse and can lead to many career opportunities.
