This one week course, run in partnership with the Seashell Trust, will equip you with the skills you need to apply for a role and join the sector.

Seashell Trust is a national learning disability charity supporting children and young adults with complex learning difficulties.

Want to get into a career at Seashell Trust? This course will involve:

• Learning about Seashell and an insight into the care sector

• Gaining knowledge and information specific to Seashell and tailored skills for their organisation

• Receiving interview support for the opportunity of interviews following the course for Seashell job vacancies

  • You must be 18 to 30-years-old

  • You must have the the right to work in the UK

  • You must be based in Greater Manchester

You can access:

  • Additional financial support to help with the cost of equipment, further training, first month travel costs, and clothing

  • One-to-one support as you apply for jobs and get ready for your interview

  • One-to-one support after your interview, including during your first few months of work

Seashell Trust is a national learning disability charity supporting children and young adults with complex learning difficulties.

The Seashell Trust have 17 home-from-home, four bedroomed houses for children and young people who need residential support They provide 24-hour care, weekly and termly boarding, and 52-week placement for individuals aged 3-25 years.

You will be working one-to-one providing daily care and support for children, including supporting their personal care needs, mobility, daily routine, communication, independent living skills, learning and access to leisure activities.

Challenging behaviours will present in this role, so to fully support our children and staff, you should be prepared to work at times in a high-pressured environment.
