On this three day course with Lancashire Teaching hospital, you will:

  • Learn sector-specific knowledge, preparing you for a career in Healthcare admin!

To be eligible for this course, you:

  • Must be aged 18-30

  • Must have the Right to Work in the UK

  • Must be located in Preston, Chorley, Blackburn, Burnley, Leyland or surrounding areas.

  • Must be able to attend the sessions

You can access:

  • Additional financial support to help with the cost of equipment, further training, first month travel costs, and clothing

  • One-to-one support as you apply for jobs and get ready for your interview

  • One-to-one support after your interview, including during your first few months of work

Admin roles could range from checking-in patients at appointments to supporting teams such as Finance or HR. They are responsible for ensuring that personal information is organised, stored and communicated effectively, so that patients receive the right level of care. Admin assistants are usually based in a hospital or office setting.
